You need a user name and a password for memoQweb in order to access qTerm - see memoQWeb

Search for a term or a sequence of characters

The upper part of the window offers search options

Term bases you can use

The lower part of the screen shows all term bases currently assigned to you.
If the term base you are looking for is not shown on the list:

  • Ask your PRODOC contact person for assignment

Look-up options

  1. Enter the term or parts of it in Term:

  2. Check Exact match if required

  3. Set the source Language and Second language for your search

  4. By default all term bases assigned to you are used for look-up - if you want to select specific term bases for your search,
    select them here:


  5. You can define whether you want to browse the search results or if you want to print them:


  6. Hit Search

Browse terms

The Browse terms window is displayed:

You can:

  1. Change the term bases for the search:


  2. Modify your search term and

  3. Update the search list


  4. Start a discussion regarding the term

  5. Get a print preview and print the currently displayed list

 

Browse specific term base

  • In qTerm home, click on the name of the term base you want to browse:

Now, all entries of the selecte term base are displayed.

  1. Select source and target language

  2. Select a term and view all translations existing for the term

  3. Term-related discussions are shown here, if existing - these show the history of the term, i.e. questions asked and decisions made in the past regarding this term
